Chandler Leo Obituary
Chandler Thomas Leo, 17, passed away tragically on August 23, 2022, in his hometown of Amherst, NH.
Born in Manchester, NH on September 19, 2004 he was the son of Michelle Krall and Derek Leo. Chandler was a student at Souhegan High School and was planning on attending the Gemological Institute of America where he was inspired to follow in the family Jewelry business. While at Souhegan, Chandler was a member of the Boys Lacrosse Team and was loved by all his teachers, friends, and everyone who came to know him. He had an adventurous spirit and was an old soul full of compassion for others. Chandler was determined to live life his way and always had a plan. He was a natural when it came to establishing himself as a charismatic member of the Bellman’s Buying Group team. He loved creating tik-toks and using other creative ideas to help support the business.
Chandler was always a respectful, confident, and well-rounded young man. He enjoyed listening to all genres of music from bands like the Doors and Red Hot Chili Peppers to old school hip hop like Nas and Biggie and anything in between like Jimmy Buffet. Chandler was self-teaching himself the guitar and still trying to nail that riff from Iron Maiden, Run to the Hills, which Mom can still hear coming from the attic.
Chandler loved fashion. He enjoyed fine Jewelry and sapphires. He was also a sneakerhead who loved his Jordan 5’s and always eager for new drops. Sometimes, it was something as simple hip hop tees or sweaters with his bonus mom, a Hawaiian shirt, or just a fun pair of socks and who could forget, a pair of Pit Vipers. It was an embodiment of Chandlers free nature. Chandler was never afraid to try new things, whether it was new food or making new friends, he always “knew a guy” to help. He also had passions for skiing, hiking, mountain biking, working out, and cars.
Above all, Chandler knew most importantly family came first. He loved being a big brother, and always kept his promises to his sister and secrets for his brothers. Chandler always made time to help family and friends.
We may never know why Chandler was taken from us so early, but we would all like to think that the impact that Chandler has left on so many of us will continue to shine through all that loved him. Please carry Chandlers confidence, love for life, and inquisitive nature along with you on your journey and whenever you’re in doubt or scared to try something new – Do it for Chandler.
Chandler’s memory is survived by his parents, Michelle and Justin Krall of Amherst, and Derek and Jessica Leo of Goffstown; siblings, Isabella Leo, Ethan Krall, Logan and Zachary Hebert; grandparents, Denise Leo, Michael and Betty Bedford, Martin “Pop” and Eileen Krall, Larry and Donna Blais; aunts and uncles, Renee and Sam Daniels, Monique Bedford, Jennifer and Kevin Langone, Marc Blais, Melynda Mathis, Jayson and Amanda Mathis; as well as many cousins, extended family, and friends.
Services: Calling hours are Wednesday, August 31, 2022, from 4 to 8 PM at Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, Manchester, NH. The family asks that everyone wear their favorite band shirt and fun socks in honor of Chandler.
The funeral will be held Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 10 AM in the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester, NH.

My son Ben (now in 7th grade) rode the bus with Chandler and, as a Souhegan student and fellow lax player, saw Chandler as a role model. I hope that offers some comfort. We are very sorry.

I had the privilege of being one of Chandler's instructors at 1st Gear. It makes me weep for your entire family and community and I will grieve the loss of one of our driver's ed "kids" forever. Our deepest sympathies to the Krall and Leo families. A sweet memory we will forever have is Chandler and our son Zach going to junior prom together as lax bros. A group of boys coming over and meeting at the town village taking several pictures, we are so thankful for those memories. This summer we saw Chandler at Frontera restaurant and he immediately greeted us with a huge smile and asked how Zach was. It made me smile to see his face and am thankful our boys got to be friends and share many fun moments on and off the turf.

My deepest condolences for Chandler´s family. Chandler would always brighten up my mornings in physics class with the thousands of facts he knew and the times he´d ask for my input on the new shoes he was thinking about getting. I have many fond memories of walking to the cafeteria with him in the middle of class despite both of us already missing numerous assignments. Chandler was an amazing teammate in lacrosse and would always be the first guy to fist bump whoever scored and would always hype everyone up during the games. He had such a kind, bright, and beautiful soul and he made the world a better place. Love you bro and rest easy up there

To Chandler’s Family,
We are so heartbroken for all of you. Chandler was a kind and vibrant friend to our son, Louie. Although Chandler was two years older, he was great to Louie on their lacrosse team, at school, and during their time in the gym. Chandler was so full of life and energy. Louie came home often with happy and fun anecdotes about his time with Chandler. The jewelry store, his love of cars, his passion for life, and more. The first time I heard of Chandler was from my best friend Emily. She came up to me and said “Guess what, there’s a kid named Chandler in my class!” And I was like “No way like Chandler Bing!” This was a big deal because the two of us are major fans of the show Friends. When I actually got to know him I realized he was humorous like the character, but also if Chandler Bing lived a little. Because, Chandler Leo was adventurous and daring. He loved cars, music, the movie saga Fast & Furious. Chandler Leo was the cooler version of Chandler Bing.

Chandler was one of the kindest people I ever met. The first time I met him he popped into my class sat down with me and helped me with my work. At the time he didn’t even know who I was. As lacrosse started up he was always so excited to show me the new moves he learned and how hard he worked to get them down right. He was so dedicated to his goals in the gym and on the field. He would always hype up his friends on gym progress and seek advice from peers to improve himself. He showed me how to drive a manual car in the parking lot at Walmart and took me out to lunch just a few weeks ago. The world can’t comprehend how much all his friends appreciated him. He was very busy but he always made time to see us and was always boasting a smile ear to ear. His soul was too pure for this world and may he Rest In Peace.
