Charles Bucheger Obituary
Charlie was born July 15, 1952 in River Falls, the son of Raymond F. and MaryAnn (Wagner) Bucheger.
On September 23, 1973, Charlie married Pauline Boos at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls. He served in the National Guard for six years. He was a member of Notre Dame Church.
Charlie worked for the Water Department for the city of Chippewa Falls, Weigand’s, was also a self-employed roofer, and was currently working for Kids U.S.A. Daycare.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Pauline “Peanie”; two daughters, Carissa (Matt) Saugstad of North Las Vegas, NV and Sabrina (Bill) Kuester of Greenwood; one son, Chase Bucheger of Chippewa Falls; 6 grandchildren, Briana Twillie, Hayley Kuester, Christian Kuester, Emily Saugstad, Madilyn Saugstad and Liam Kuester; one great granddaughter, Luna Decker; three brothers, Francis (Vicki) Bucheger and Patrick (Donna) Bucheger both of Chippewa Falls and Terence (Cheryl) Bucheger of Pewaukee; and six sisters, Jane (Glenn) Jurek of Glenview, Ill., Anne (Edward) Schultz of Andover, MN, Lorraine Bucheger of Lakeview, MN, Catherine (Kevin) Aubart of Chippewa Falls, Rose (Joseph) Cibulka of Hudson and Stacey (Gregory) Mazur of Jim Falls; and many nieces and nephews.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James and Vincent Bucheger; one sister, Barbara Hedrington; and one nephew, Adam DeGrood.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 3 at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls. Rev. Jesse Burish will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Burial of cremains will be at a later date. Military rites will be conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 2 and from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. There will be a Christian vigil service at 5 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
