Charles Frederick Hewitt, Sr.

In his humble way, I am sure that Charlie is looking down and thinking about all the accolades he is receiving. He was a friend to all, and he did not leave anyone out. I am so happy to have been in high school with him and Johnnie and to have kept up the friendship all of these years. May God comfort Johnnie, the rest of his loving family, and his friends, especially during this time of deepest sorrow.

It is with deep sadness that I hear of the loss of "Charlie"..... he, Johnnie and his entire family were always so wonderful to so many of us "at the barn". My condolences to the Hewitt family. Gene, it seems like a lifetime ago since I saw you. Lots of good memories from way back then.
