Charles E. McGuire, Sr., 75, passed away Monday evening, April 26, 2010 at his Fernandina Beach, FL residence. He was born February 3, 1935 in Ashe County, NC and moved to Fernandina Beach two years ago from Titusville, FL. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. McGuire was a Korean War veteran serving with the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Jayne McGuire, Fernandina Beach, FL; three sons, Charles E. "Ed" (Trudy) McGuire, Jr., Locust Grove, GA, Richard L. "Rick" (Laura) McGuire, Fernandina Beach, FL, and Kenneth "Ken" McGuire, Titusville, FL; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Owen (Josephine) McGuire and Stewart (Billie) McGuire; threre sisters, Effie Wooten, Doris Wishon and Shirley (J.T.) Sidden.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 30, 2010 at The Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with Rev. Mike Burt officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park, Jonesboro, GA, with military honors provided by the U.S. Army.
