Charles Shank Obituary
Charles Randall Shank, of Brookville, was born on November 25, 1961 in Richmond, Indiana, the son of Charles K. and Carol E. Lohrey Shank. He operated a printing press at Seasongood in Sunman. Charles’ main passion was his daughter as well as his love of music. He played drums for a band named “Sweetwater” while in High School and continued to play music his entire life. Charles also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being outdoors and loved to read. He was an easy going guy who was known to have a big heart. On Sunday, December 3, 2017, at the age of 56, Charles passed away at his residence.
Those surviving who will cherish Charles’ memory include his daughter, Randi (Michael) McKenna of Sacramento, CA; mother, Carol Evans (friend - Larry McDaniel) of Richmond; sister, Julie (Jeff) Lambert of Blooming Grove; grandchildren, Ryann, Camrynn and Jack McKenna; a nephew, Cole Lambert, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles K. Shank; grandmother, Virginia Pennington, and grandfathers, Paul Shank and Charles Grayden Lohrey.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 4 until 6 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. Scott Moistner of Milton Christian Church will help celebrate Charles’ life at 6 p.m. Cremation will follow.

I knew Randy from Seasongood Folding Box. He was a good friend and always had my back. He was an outstanding drummer and loved Rock n Roll. Had many, many good times shooting with Randy in Brookville and fishing. He was an outgoing person who always was the life of the party. RIP Hammer

My love, heartfelt condolences, and prayers to my Aunt Carol, Cousin Julie (Jeff), Randi (Michael), Ryann, Camrynn, and Jack, and other family and friends who were such a big part of Randy's life.
I'll miss my Cousin Randy; his death is really hard for me to process and quite shocking. He left this Earth way too early. While I haven't been around and seen much of Randy in the last thirty years, he will be missed.
While growing up, Randy and I were best friends. We camped, fished, boxed, hung out, listened to music (a lot of times he was learning how to drum to a new song - this was before he joined a band), talked about girls: just the things guys and best friends do.
I'll forever cherish those memories and be thankful I was lucky enough to have them and those experiences, Randy! Rest easy and peaceful my big-hearted Cousin!

It was great reconnecting with Randy this past year through Facebook. Randy was so proud of his daughter and grandchildren. Randy was so caring and thoughtful, asking about my family and sharing stories about his family. Rest easy Randy.

I am going to miss getting a call or text from you, and us filling each other in on our lives. You always could make me laugh, and even though our marriage didn't work out, I still cared for you deeply and worried if you were okay.
