Charlotte Johnson Cito; Charlotte lost her battle with cancer on September 25, 2022, with her loving daughter Dawn, sister-in-law Mary Cito and friend Kat Lindsey by her side.
Born in Marquette, Michigan on August 30, 1944, Charlotte moved to Pontiac with her family when she was a young girl and graduated from Pontiac Northern High School in 1962. Charlotte never lost her love for the UP, however, and traveled there often. It was her “happy place”.
After retiring from the Lake Orion Post Office in 2010, after 30 years of dedicated service, Charlotte went to work in the Waterford Township Clerk’s Office as a part-time Election worker.
Charlotte will be remembered for her great love of music (she rocked!), her willingness to help anyone she saw in need, her awesome organizational skills and her endless crafting talents. She freely shared the products of her creativity in the quilts she gifted to so many. Her knowledge was freely shared with the group of women known as the “Crafty Girls” who met monthly at her home. She will be greatly missed by all who were touched by her kindness.
Preceded in death by her husband Glenn Cito in 2004, Charlotte is survived by her beloved daughter Dawn Cito, her in-laws Greg and Mary Cito, her fur baby Nikki and many others who loved her.
We will be Celebrating a Well-Crafted Life for Charlotte on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Waterford Township Warming House, on the Civic Center Campus, 5200 Civic Center Dr.
At Dawn’s request, please no flowers or plants. If you wish to make a tribute gift, donations for expenses are appreciated.

I am so sorry to hear of Charlotte's passing. I have known her since we were about 8 or 10 years old. Many summer experiences at Tommy's lake, as well as growing up in Girl Scouts and camping together.

Dearest Dawn, my heart is broken on hearing of my lifetime friend's passing. I will miss her terribly. We were born 1 year apart, and were seperated for a while, then whenever she came back to her HAPPY PLACE in the U.P. we always got together, she never would forget to call me. Bless her, and may she rest in Heaven. Love and Prayers to you Dawn.
