Christian "Chris" Persichetti Obituary

Christian “Chris” Persichetti, 51, died on Monday, January 29th, 2024 at his home in Hampstead. Chris was born in Brooklyn, NY (January 25, 1973), grew up in Peekskill, NY and moved to North Carolina in 1997.

One of Chris’s most recent accomplishments was being baptized by Renovation Church in the Atlantic Ocean in 2021. He had a big heart and often put others before himself. An example is time he spent volunteering at House of Bread Food Pantry where he loved to interact with other volunteers and persons benefiting from this ministry. He would also assist people to their cars with groceries while just out shopping for himself.

Chris was quick to make people laugh with cracking jokes and his funny remarks. He was a fan of The New York Jets and The New York Yankees but he absolutely loved Tarheel Basketball. He also enjoyed anything outdoors, whether it was working on cars, camping or kayaking. He frequented Dunkin Donuts and shooting ranges also. When Chasen was younger, he coached youth baseball for Supper Optimist Club and Topsail Ball Club. Most will remember him as someone “who never met a stranger.” But those who truly knew him will remember him for the endless love and adoration he had for Chasen and Cayden.

Surviving him is his father John A. Persichetti and Pamela Mcguire of Peekskill, NY; his mother, Theresa Persichetti of Hampstead, NC; his brother, John C. Persichetti of Wappingers Falls, NY; his son, Chasen Persichetti, his daughter, Cayden Persichetti, and their mother, Jennifer Atkinson, all of Hampstead, NC

A funeral service will be held at 4:30pm on Monday, February 5th, 2024 at Andrews Hampstead Chapel. The family will receive friends beginning at 3:30pm prior to the service.

Chris took pride in seeing his children be successful. An account has been set up for donations that will assist in Chasen and Cayden furthering their education. In lieu of flowers, checks can be made payable to Chasen and Cayden Persichetti then mailed to SECU, P.O. Box 10779, Wilmington, NC 28404. Contributions can also be made in person at any State Employees Credit Union branch in their names.

Jen, Jeff, Chasen, and Cayden
We are so sorry for Chris’ passing. I know it’s been several years, but I will always remember his love for the Tarheels, Jets, and the Yankees. I can’t imagine how hard this loss has hit your family especially knowing how much Chris loves his children. May they continue to grow up knowing how much they were loved by their father, who is now a guardian angel. I know that you and Jeff are wonderful parents to them as well because they seem like they are amazing children! Love and prayers to you always.

I am sorry to hear but rejoice that he is in the arms of our Heavenly Father. I remember Chris as a devoted father to Chasen and Cayden at South Topsail Elementary. May God wrap you all in his loving arms during this time.
