Christine Cooper Temple, age 74, of Dearborn, passed away at home on Tuesday, January 27th, 2026. Christine was the beloved wife of Richard Temple and mother to three adoring children: Lisa Frank Kosmalski (married to Michael Kosmalski), Lauren Temple Fisher (married to Paul Fisher), and Bradley Temple (married to Lana Pham Temple). Christine was the proud grandmother of 7 grandsons: Ethan and Jacob Frank, and Owen, Simon, George, Joseph, and Samuel Fisher.
Christine was raised in Detroit and graduated from Cody High School in 1969. She wrote the following in school, "I think everything is worth learning and understanding. Education is a key that everyone is trying to grasp hold of. For me, education is the way from ignorance, and the way to caring about people. Education, formal or not, is the way to knowing, understanding, and helping our fellow man." Christine believed this all her life.
Christine held a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan. She served the people of Detroit and Wayne County as an adult protective services social worker for the State of Michigan. Christine had a passion for social justice. Even in retirement, Christine advocated for human rights, freedom, and equality.
Christine was a talented artist and spent her life pursuing creative outlets: sewing, painting, drawing, making jewelry, and decorating. She had an eye for color and an impeccable sense of style. She was a life-long reader of science fiction and fantasy. She had a green thumb and tended a peaceful garden.
A memorial gathering will take place at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Ave., Dearborn on Saturday, January 31st from 12:00-4:00 pm.
Private cremation arrangements have taken place.

I met Chris as our patient in Dr Moore’s dental office. She was full of knowledge, love of life, but mostly I will remember how much she loved her family. Her children and grandchildren were everything to her. She was so happy to take the train to Seattle and on to Alaska. The trip of dreams; she said!! She had a special light.
Condolences to her loved ones. XO

Whenever I think of Christine I always smile from ear to ear. She always made me laugh. She was a warm, funny and caring person. She use to come stay with us and care for just born baby goats with feeding and snuggles. It could be a busy time with lots of baby goats but with Christine here it always felt easy with her laugh and jokes. I can still hear her laugh while writing this. She always made the world and all its problems easier somehow. This world will just not be the same to me without her in it. I adored and looked up to Christine so much. Words just can not express how much I will truly miss her.
