Christopher Brent Kovarik

1970 - 2023

Christopher “Chris” Brent Kovarik, age 52, of San Jose, CA passed away on February 15, 2023 after a long battle with cancer. He was born on May 19, 1970 to Michael and Louise “Cathy” (Iliff) Kovarik in Mountain View, CA. He graduated from John F. Kennedy High School and went on to achieve his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Webster University in St. Louis, MO. He then excelled in the pharmaceutical sales industry for over 20 years earning numerous top producing awards and was highly regarded as a great mentor and co-worker by his colleagues. In 2002, he married his wife, Kristine “Kris, and gained two bonus daughters, Brittany and Shannon. In 2005 they welcomed a daughter, Zoë. Christopher enjoyed traveling the world and watching Zoë grow and excel in academics, dance, and theatre. He was always up for a good game of trivia and making new friends. Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Cathy; two angel babies; and grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Kris; daughter Zoë; bonus daughters Brittany (Paul) Mundy and Shannon (Jeff) Gettings; siblings Mark (Donna) Kovarik, Dana (Mike) Key, and Craig Kovarik; and grandchildren Brock Vail, Chase Mundy, Makenna Mundy, Cooper Gettings, and Oaklynn Gettings. Family and friends are welcome to attend services which will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Los Gatos on February 25, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with Celebration of Life to follow at one of Chris’s favorite restaurants, The ByWater, in Los Gatos. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made towards the educational fund established for Zoë.
