A great educator. Mr. Vann was my supervisor at Miles college Upward Bound Program. I taught a dacne course to high school students under this federal program. A lot of inspired young men and women benefited from this program. There were english .Math and cultural arts. We preformed programs at Miles College that year. These kids went on to do outstanding thing in life across the country. Some went off to college. He was a great mentor to me and the other young teachers who like me taught in this program. Thank you Mr. Vann. RIP. YOU MADE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE WITH YOUR PRESENTS.

Words are not in my vocabulary to describe the extraordinary, wonderful, caring, nurturing, knowledgeable, sharing, and Christian neighbor Mr. Cleophus Vann was. My family had the blessing of knowing the Vanns from the beginning when they moved into the neighborhood. The Vanns were part of our Neighborhood Courtesy Club who was always willing to lend a hand to whatever the occasion was. I was a babysitter for their son, Darryl, helped take care of Mrs. Vann when she was sick, and looked out for Mr. Vann when Mrs. Vann went to be with the Lord. He always kept himself busy, whether working out with my brother and son at Lakeshore, busy doing things at church, and working in the yard. He will be missed in the neighborhood, but we know to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Take your rest Mr. Vann because you finished the course and you kept the faith. Job well done!

Mr. Vann will truly be missed. I have known him all my life within our church family. Joshua 24:15 says but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.
