Mr. Curtis Bernard Woods, 65 of Charlotte, departed this life on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Levine & Dickson-Aldersgate. He was born February 5, 1956 in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Robert Lloyd Woods, Sr. and the late Zada Ervin Woods. Curtis was preceded in death by brothers, Robert Lloyd Woods, Jr. and Narvol Arthur Woods.
Curtis, affectionately called "Curt" by those who knew and loved him, was educated in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System and served in the United States Army. Curt was a faithful member of McClintock Presbyterian Church where he was a Deacon, member of the Senior Choir, Men's Choir, Gospel Choir, and the Men's Council.
Left to cherish fond memories of Curt are six sisters, Mary Moses of Brandywine, MD, Annie Faye Jones, Delores Matthews, Cathryn Sherill-Grier (Zenus), Teresa Woods, and Regina Woods, all of Charlotte, NC; brother, Reginald L. Woods, Sr. (Wanda) of Charlotte, NC; nineteen nieces & nephews; twenty-five great nieces & nephews; and ten great-great-nieces and nephews.
Curt loved God, his family and friends and people in general. He was a very fun loving and deeply caring person. He shared a special bond with his niece and near daily conversationist Rita Woods, and his nephew and person caregiver, Tevin Woods.

Curtis will be sorely missed. I shall always remember Curtis, especially for his dedication and commitment to The McClintock Presbyterian Church and to the McClintock Gospel Choir where he shared his strong bass voice and served as the Sergeant-At-Arms for so many years, I will always have memories of being in the church parking lot on Sunday mornings and watching Curtis drive up with a van full of family members and then, after church, waving goodbye to Curtis as he would nod his head, in a goodbye gesture, to everyone in sight as he passed by in the van on the way to leaving the church grounds. Curtis may not be physically present, but, his spirit will always be with us in our hearts and minds. Rest In Peace, Curtis. Condolences to The Woods Family.
