Cynthia S. Romito, 69, of Monessen, formerly of Monongahela, died Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. She was born January 21, 1956 in West Newton, the daughter of William and Della Fawcett Corbett.
Cindy was a 1974 graduate of Ringgold High School. For several years, she and her husband, Paul, had resided in Warsaw, Indiana where Cindy found employment working at a nursing home. They moved back to the Mon Valley in 2007. Cindy had numerous nieces and nephews that she helped raise and made sure that she loved and cared for them all. They all held a very special place in her heart.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Paul E. Romito with whom she celebrated thirty five years of marriage on February 17, 2025; siblings, Bob (Leslie) Corbett, Kathy Hamilton, Kim (Dave) Barkey, all of Monongahela, Kevin (Cass) Corbett of Oahu, Hawaii; brother-in-law, Jim Gray of Camp Hill; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved pets, Elvis and SpongeBob.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Fawcett, sisters, Linda (Walter) Smith, Deb Gray, Kelly Lessman; and brother-in-law, Dan Hamilton.
Friends are invited to gather on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM in the Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 PM with the Rev. Jude Urso officiating.

Cyndi was such a sweet wonderful person, that I enjoyed visiting with, especially when we were neighbors & she use to take care of Sarah. I'm so sorry that I didn't see her passing. I lost my husband Gregg January 9th so I haven't been keeping up with the obituary section . You had a wonderful wife Paul & she will be greatly missed by me & all others that she won the hearts of. My sincere deepest heart felt condolences. Debbie

I had met Cindy a few times when she would be visiting family here in Warsaw. She was always very friendly and fun to be around. My condolences to family and friends.

So sorry for your loss Paul. Cindy was always a nice lady to talk to when I lived next-door. I hope you find peace that she will never be in pain again.
