Dale Arthur DeLoriea

1950 - 2025

Dale Arthur DeLoriea, of Chicago, IL, passed away on March 8, 2025, at age 75. He was a devoted husband to Julie, a loving father to Elizabeth, Catharine, and Margaret, and a proud grandfather of Alexander, Hazelbell, and Teagan.

A fierce advocate for justice, Dale spent his early career as a civil litigator, fighting tirelessly for fairness and equity in the courtroom. Later, he brought that same passion to the classroom, dedicating himself to teaching social studies and special education to at-risk youth. He believed that the fight against injustice wasn’t confined to legal arguments, it continued in every lesson taught, every student supported, and every young person inspired to believe in their own potential.

His steadfast loyalty to the Chicago White Sox and love of chocolate will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

In keeping with his generous spirit, Dale shared the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. We find comfort in knowing his legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
