I was a six year old at the wedding of Dale and Virginia! Dale had purchased the old Mahoney house and turned it into a true home for themselves. A big task to take on while also teaching classes and being Assistant Principal of S.H.S. May God rest his soul and honor him for a lifetime of work serving others in the community. Thankyou for being a good and honest teacher at Stratford. Sincere condolences to the entire family.

I had the opportunity to know Dale when teaching at Stratford. Along with teaching Business Education and Drivers training, he taught his students to be responsible and respectful. Dale is one of the reasons his former students ended up having a good career and a good life. RIP my friend, it was an honor to know and work with you.

He was a great no nonsense teacher. I still remember all the drivers-ed classes back in the 60's. May God be with his family and friends.

Dorothy and I graduated with the Stratford class of 1951, and of course we both had Mr. Dooge as a teacher, and I must say a very good one. He had a great way about himself, and anyone in his class knew he was very sincere in what he did so we all learned well. Thank You Mr. Dooge, and may God Bless you forever.

So long to the man that taught many how to drive and type ,in my day we never figured the two would go hand in hand as it does so much now . No corners were allowed to be cut in our assignments no missed assignments allowed either . It did give me a profound drive to finish what I start . Sympathy's for the family for such a profound loss a Teacher ,Son ,Father Husband and Grandfather .

It was a privilege and an honor to be one of Mr. Dooge's students in '66, '67. I learned more from him than any other teacher. Whatever little success I had was due to his leadership. I found him to be a kind man who had a big heart. He was tough but instilled discipline who really cared about his students. You didn't call him Dale either, it was MR. DOOGE! I would consider him one of the greatest men I have ever known. Eternal Rest grant unto him, Oh Lord and let perpetual light...
