Dallas G. SlaymakerDallas G. Slaymaker died on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 78.Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, Mr. Slaymaker has been a resident of Levittown for the last 30 years.He spent his working career as a Welder at Bethlehem Steel for 30 years.Mr. Slaymaker truly enjoyed life. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling with his wife.Dallas was a proud US Air Force veteran, serving his country from 1956-1962 and then with the US Air National Guard of Maryland for 34 years until 1995. Mr. Slaymaker was a member of the American Legion Post 960 and the F & AM Lodge in Baltimore.He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Patricia A. (Oberman), and her children, Deborah Klimowicz (Mark), Robert Clarke (Iris), Michelle Bason (Bill), Kelly Jakel (Tony), and Kathleen Limburg (late Keith).Mr. Slaymaker will also be sadly missed by his 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; and his sister, Della Livolsi (Pete).Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, from 8:30 until 9:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held at 9:30 am. Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
