Dana was the nicest person. He was our only cousin and we always enjoyed seeing him and hearing his hearty laugh. He brought joy to our family reunions and holiday get togethers. He was decent and loving and an incredible son to our Uncle Jim and Aunt Ada.

Dana G. Fravel,67, passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 25, 2025, in Sioux Falls, SD.
Dana G, Fravel was born on September 25, 1958, to James and Ada Fravel and lived his early years in Rapid City, SD.
The family then moved to Sioux Falls, SD and he attended grade school, then graduated from Washington High School in 1975. Dana worked summer jobs while attending college at South Dakota State University in Brookings SD, where he played football. After graduation from SDSU, he worked seasonally at the South Dakota Department of Transportation for years while attending Bemidji State University where he received a printing degree.
Dana put that printing degree to use when he was hired with the City of Sioux Falls on January 6, 1997, as a Sign Technician, first in the field, then in the sign shop making and designing various signs for different departments for the city until his passing. He was good, caring man with a kind heart and a very hearty laugh.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1999 and took care of his mother until her death in 2019.
He is survived by his Aunt Bari Richards, Aunt Ann Epton, Uncle Alharve Epton. He is also survived by Shirley Fravel Kruse, Uncle Neele (Carol) Kruse, Cousins; Katherine, Lynn (Lance), Kelly Kruse, Kari (Joe) Portice, Kristi (Brett) Anderson, Kurt (Mary) Kruse, and Ronnie.
A Funeral Service will take place at noon on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Heritage Funeral Home. Family will be present two hours before the service for visitation. Burial service will be on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in Pierre, SD at the Riverside Cemetery.
He will be truly missed!!
