Daniel P. Gearhart, Devoted father of Dyana (Matt) ten Berge, Gail Gearhart (Morgan) Geiger, Daniel E. (Brooke) Gearhart, Dawn (Hege) Vik-Hansen, Dustin (Elena) Gearhart, Danielle Gearhart and Dillon Gearhart. Loving brother of Bill, Kathleen, Jim, Dave,Tom, Joe, Patrick and Mary Beth. Proud grandfather of Lola, Daniel, Ruby, Savannah, Matthais and Kaia. His loyal friend Rocky. Visitation Monday 3-9 p.m. Funeral Service, Monday, 2:30 p.m. at the Elms Funeral Home, 7600 W. Grand Ave. (North @76th Ave.) Elmwood Park. Interment Private.
In light of current restrictions, no more than 50-guests are allowed to attend at a time. We ask that you respect other mourners and the family and keep your visit brief. Social distancing and face masks are mandatory and it is recommended that if you are not feeling well, you should not attend.

I am shocked to heat of Danny's passing. We were friends back in the 70s working at USPS in River Grove. Did some great camping trips and snow skiing with him. Such a big strong guy with a smile that never quit. RIP my friends.

So, so sorry to hear of Dan's passing. We were all so young when we started out at the Post Office, but for all that time Dan was the same; always smiling, always willing to listen and share his thoughts. Always talking about his kids. Such a great guy. My deepest sympathy goes out to the family.

I had worked with and for Danny for many years at North Suburban Facility. He was always, and I mean always, fair and patient. He would listen, not just hear what I was saying, he listened and he usually had that million dollar smile. I don't know what happened to Danny, but I hope he didn't suffer, and he's enjoying eternity in heaven. My husband, Chuck, and I send our deep felt sympathy to Danny's family. God bless.
