Daniel Hodge, Jr. Obituary
Mr. Hodge was born December 12, 1963 in Columbus, the son of Daniel E. Hodge, Sr. and Carol Thompson Hodge. The owner of Daniel Hodge Homes, he was a real estate developer and builder. Mr. Hodge was the former president of the Columbus Home Builders Association and was a one-time "Builder of the Year" recipient. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Columbus State University and his Master's Degree from Luther Rice Seminary.
Mr. Hodge is survived by his wife, Claudette Hodge of Cataula; his daughter, Kristina Hodge of Cataula; his son, Ross Daniel Hodge of Cataula; his mother, Carol Hodge of Columbus; his step-mother, Stella Hodge of Fitzgerald, GA; three brothers, Al Hodge of Columbus, Jason (Kelly) Hodge of Columbus, Jeff (Karen) Hodge of Columbus and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

I just found out about Dan's passing and I cried my tears for his family. Dan helped me through a very hard time in my life with his kind words and wisdom of the Bible. I love his family and my heart aches for Claudette, Kristina and Ross. I will pray for you.

We were so sorry to hear of Daniel's death. The Lord is the Great Comforter and we pray he will draw near as you pass through these days of change.
Daniel was a tremendous blessing to my parents, Doug and Joyce Lee, when he built their home. He forever made a friend with my Dad. We will all miss him.

Claudette and family,
Daniel built our home about 7 yr. ago and added so many extras, "He wanted to put a seed in our ministry." As I go by the window that he added about our fireplace at no addt. chg., I pause and think of him. Such a devoted Christian, we held him in high respect. I was blessed to meet Dan while attending Luther Rice Seminary. Dan was a true example of God's love to everyone he came in contact with. I will always remember those special times we all shared at Luther Rice. We remember the wonderful graduation fun a group of us shared together. It was so much fun to climb into Dan's Yellow Hummer. Dan my friend rest in peace....thank you for being a wonderful friend and encourager. You will be missed. We are praying for you Claudette, Kristina, and Ross. May God bless you all.

I have known Dan since the day he was born. His Father was my only brother. I've known his Mother since we were teenagers. Dan has always been special.As he was lying in bed in hospice I said " I'd trade places with you if I could". Dan answered " Jesus already did that". I have so many wonderful memories of Dan growing up and as a kind loving man.Nothing short of dementia can take that away. Save me a place Dan. I'll try to deserve it. Dan was like a brother to me. We grew up together, and got in trouble together as kids! He was the sweetest person I have ever known. His kindness and thoughtfulness were amazing. He will be in my heart forever. I have a personal guardian angel watching over me. I love you Dan! LYBATS.

I talked to Dan a couple of months ago. He and I talked about 'believing the
love'. He told me that no matter what happens he believed that God loved him and everything would be all right - no matter what.
I cared for Dan a lot. He did things for me and the ministry that no one knew about except him, me and God.
I will always remember him with love and fondness.

Claudette, Kristina, and Ross: Sorry that Dan's life was cut short but we all know that he is celebrating his new life with Jesus and telling him that "It's All Good." I would get tickled at him constantly saying that on the mission trip to Manchester, KY when we had to stay at the Rocking Chair Inn. It's all Good for him now because he is in no more pain, but sad that he had to leave his sweet family behind. We will all see him one day and oh what a glorious day that will be. We love you and are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
