1972 - 2019

Funeral services for Daniel Edward McGuire, 46, of Dubach will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Holmesville Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Whitman officiating. Interment will follow in Holmesville Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mr. McGuire passed away on April 25, 2019. Daniel came to the United States from Ontario, Canada on a Golf Scholarship to Louisiana Tech in 1990 studying marketing where he attained his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees. In 1997, he began his career with VALIC Financial Advisors, Inc., primarily working in Educational, Governmental and not for profit organizations, such as Louisiana Tech, Lincoln Parish Schools and Louisiana School for the Blind. He was an avid and accomplished outdoorsman. He loved hunting all game, large and small, throughout the United States and Canada. He loved to introduce non-traditional people to the art of hunting and fishing.

Mr. McGuire was preceded in death by his Dad, Larry Edward McGuire.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 22 years, Sherri McGuire of Dubach, La.; son, Andrew Tyler McGuire of Dubach, La.; mother, Carol Lacroix McGuire of Ontario, Canada; mother-in-law, Faye Snearly; brother, Jim McGuire (Angela) of Ontario, Canada; sister, Julie McGuire Healey of Ontario, Canada; nieces and nephews, Charlotte, Graydon, Audrey and Anastasia; and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Lamar Hancock, John Paul Hancock, Tim Otwell, Selwyn Ellis, Thomas Breaux and Carl Harvey.

Honorary pallbearers will be Seth Hancock and Dustin Hancock.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Holmesville Baptist Church.
