Danny Scruggs, Sr. Obituary
Danny Watson Scruggs, Sr., 72, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021. He was born May 4, 1949 in Spartanburg County, to Verle May Hutcherson and the late Elzie B. Scruggs. He worked for Triangle Ice Co. for several years.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Reda Faye Hayes Scruggs; sons, Danny (Jackie) Scruggs, Jr., Chris (Teresa) Scruggs and Joey (Amanda) Scruggs; five grandchildren, Megan, Kayden, Cody, Shelby and Bill; and a brother, Tracy Scruggs.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee.
The family will be at the home.

Danny And I Were Like Brothers. We Grew Up Together From 6Yrs Up. I Loved Danny Like A
Brother. I Will Miss Him A Lot. We Were Always Together And Had A Lot Of Enjoyable Mischief
After We Both Got Married Him And Our Wives Went On A Lot Of Adventures. I Will Miss Him
And Think Of Him Everyday. There Has Never Been A Better Friend

So sorry for your loss . I was your nurse for many years at Dr Robinson’s office . I remember Danny as always being a kind and humble man. May God comfort you during this difficult time .

Danny was one of the best ice men I have known during my forty years in the ice business. Whenever I had a problem with equipment that I couldn’t figure out I’d call Danny and he’d always help. He was as honest as the day is long and a good friend. He will be missed by many in our industry. To Reda and the boys, may God comfort you and give you peace as only He can.
