Darlene Lee

1953 - 2026

Darlene Lee was born on March 20, 1953, in Lexington, KY, to the late Bessie Lee Gentry and Otha Buchanan.  Darlene accepted Christ and was a member of Consolidated
Missionary Baptist Church in Lexington, KY, under Reverend Dr. Richard Gaines. She retired from Deloitte of Hermitage, TN, and moved to Lexington to care for her mother.  Darlene loved to shop; she committed her time by helping family members through her
tireless efforts in bringing together a silent auction almost every year and dividing the proceeds among family members in need.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lee; great-grandmother, Mary Eliza Gentry; mother, Bessie Lee Gentry; two brothers, Otha Buchanan (Buck) and Robert Gentry (Skeet); and three sisters, Loretta Purcell, Emma Lewis, and Janice Gentry Riffe.
She is survived by her loving son, Jeremy Lee (Lauren); two special grandsons, Quinton and Elijah Lee; one aunt, Elizabeth Gentry; three sisters, Juanita Taylor, Beverly Taylor (Charles Taylor), and Carolyn Gentry; special nieces, Adriane (Boo) and Adrea (Tippy)
Blackburn; special nephew, Orlando (Landy) Blackburn; special cousin, Teresa Miles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends near and far, including two dear friends, Nyetta Silverburg and Betty Morgan.
