David “Dave” Stephens Hall, 87, of Covington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on the morning of November 27, 2025. Born on June 25, 1938, Dave was the beloved son of the late Walter and Evalene (nee) Stephens Hall, and was also preceded in death by his siblings Leroy (Gladys) Hall, Betty Lou (Ken) Wingate and Margaret Sue Hall.
Dave proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1963 to 1969. After his service, he worked as a draftsman, enjoyed time as a stay-at-home dad, and later worked in retail, where he loved serving his community and connecting with people.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Carol Erkenbercher Hall, and their children, Amy (Eric) Hodges, and Brian Hall. Dave leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and countless friends who will remember his warmth and humor. His faith community at St. John United Church of Christ held a special place in his heart, and he treasured the fellowship and friendships he found there. He was known for his sharp, witty sense of humor and loved keeping conversations lively. He will be remembered for his quick wit and the laughter he brought to those around him.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John United Church of Christ, located at Jefferson and Cooper in Reading, Ohio. The funeral service will follow immediately at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Reading Cemetery at approximately 12:15 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John United Church of Christ, Reading, Ohio.
Visitation will take place Thursday, December 4th, 2025, from 10:00a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00a.m., both at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 729 Jefferson Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45215. Burial will occur immediately following Service at Reading Cemetery.
