David Leroy Kearns

1957 - 2026

David Leroy Kearns, 78, of West Columbia, WV, passed away March 26, 2026, in Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, WV, following an extended illness. 

He was born on October 14, 1947, in Mason, WV, a son of the late Carl William and Pamela (Sibbons) Kearns. 

He was a retired operator at the Philip Sporn Power Plant in New Haven, WV, and served in the United States Air Force. He was always busy but enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and fishing. David was very passionate about what he did and, most of all, loved his family.

Survivors include his wife, Betty (Crump) Kearns; grandsons, Taylor and Joseph Hammond; granddaughter, Brittany Kearns; great-grandchildren, Haven, Harper, Ryder, and Salem Hammond; and brothers, Brian and Christopher Kearns.

Arrangements for David are pending at this time and are under the direction of Foglesong-Casto Funeral Home.
