David James Merritt, Jr., 78, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Friday, September 2, 2022 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. David was born in Bladen County, NC on October 17, 1943 to the late David James Merritt, Sr. and Corrina Merritt.

David is survived by his children: Vicky Graham, Dennis Packer and Leo Merritt, all of Lumberton, NC; his grandchildren: Wayne Rogers, Jennifer Suggs, Adrian Packer, Dustin Packer, Lukas Packer, and Gracie Graham; and his great-grandchildren, Romani Rogers and Aiden Suggs.
