Not sure what to say?

Marlene, I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember Dave well from when he drove the postal route. Sending hugs and prayers for you and the family.

Uncle Dave, I will never forget visiting you the day you woke up from your heart transplant, on my way to the Military Entrance Processing Station. As I stood beside you, I felt God’s hand in that moment—me stepping into a new path, and you being given another precious chapter of life. That day became a quiet reminder of faith, grace, and the power of answered prayers. Your strength and spirit walked with me as I moved forward, and they always will. I trust now that you are at peace, held in...

It is with much sadness to say farewell to a fun person. We will always remember you as a "Tough One to Beat" when pulling tractors. Deepest and sincere sympathy to Marlene and the family. Your long time friends, Gerald and Alice Spurgeon, Columbia, Mo.
