Davon Brandon Hilton JR was born on July 12, 2000, to Davon Hilton and Lakeisha Alveranga at Plantation General Hospital located in Plantation, Florida. “Brandon” as he is affectionately known by his family and close friends, was a very handsome, inquisitive, talkative, and energetic child with a sense of humor that emulated both of his parents.
Brandon began his educational journey at Mirror Lake Elementary School located in Plantation, Florida. The biggest complaint made by his teachers was that “Davon is always trying to make everyone laugh” – which most of us know is fair to say he got from his dad. During those years, he played football and basketball in their respective seasons for the City of Sunrise - as his parents thought that would be a wonderful way to channel some of his energy. Brandon attended Renaissance Charter School, where he completed his sixth-grade year then transferred to West Pine Middle to complete his Middle School education. In 2018, Brandon graduated from Piper High School and received his diploma.
At an early age, Brandon knew that he wanted to be his own boss and with the assistance of his family, made strides to open his own jet ski rental business. In April 2021, Brandon was given the most precious gift that came in the form of his beautiful baby girl Leilani Hilton. Fatherhood was a\ responsibility that Brandon took seriously, and he did his best to take care of his family.
On April 26, 2023, a beautiful life was cut short due a tragic and unfortunate event. Some tragedies that life brings can catch us all off guard and will leave you with unanswered questions, however; God says in His word that he is not the author of confusion, but of peace and that the peace of God goes beyond anything we can ever comprehend. It is easy for us to remember someone by the challenges they faced, but for Brandon – may we all remember him by the smiles he gave us, by the laughs we shared and by the precious moments of life that he left us with.
Brandon leaves behind to celebrate his memory his parents, Lakeisha Alveranga and Davon Hilton; bonus mom, Chandra Hilton; daughter, Leilani Hilton; sister, Madyson Ricketts; maternal grandparents, Winston and Barbara Alveranga; paternal grandparents, Sandra Hilton-Walker, Michael Walker and Darrell Curry; aunts, Melanie Walker and Michandra Walker; uncle, Jerome Alveranga; Godmothers, Lorna McKenzie and Farrah O’Connor; Godfather, Drew Walker; and numerous great aunts, great uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
Brandon will be remembered for his charm and smile – courtesy of his father, the way he always smelled so nice – a lesson taught early by his mother, his warm embrace and his mild-mannered demeanor.
“Our Brandon”, may your soul rest in peace…
