He and my father Deacon Felton Smith thought a lot of each other and while they were both physically able they didn't miss a beat for anything, God, family, or the church. Mr.Charles always showed me his Christianity. Knew him from the time I was a teenager and worked around him and Rudolph many days and he never showed me anything less than total respect kindness compassion love and understanding. Deacon Charles Lee's Obituary

Deacon Charles Lee Grantham, Sr. age 76 was born on August 18, 1938 in Wayne County to the Late Deacon Leroy and Eldress Viola Exum Grantham. Deacon Grantham succumbed to the Master's call Friday at residence surrounded by his loving family.His life and service to God and Mankind will be celebrated Thursday at 11 AM at Goldsboro Raleigh District Assembly Apostle Kenneth Vaughn presiding. Deacon Grantham will be eulogized by his son Apostle Darrian Grantham. His mortal remains will be laid to rest in the Wayne Memorial Park.He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted and faithful wife of 53 years, Mother Elizabeth E. Grantham who took care of him day and night until his last breath at home. Three children; Angeline (Robert) Grantham McInnis, Deacon Charles (Lauren) Grantham, Jr., and Apostle Darian (Altonia) Grantham. Two loving brothers: Rudolph (Virginia) Grantham and Joseph (Carolyn) Core. One adopted sister; Lady Cassandra Stevenson. He was preceded in death by a twin, Carl Grantham and one Sister Johnice Grantham Darby. He also leaves to cherish 11 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.Visitation Wednesday from 2 PM until 8 PM with the family present to receive friends from 7 PM until 8 PM at the Haskins Funeral Home. At other times the family receive friends at the residence 301 S. John St., Goldsboro. Condolences maybe posted at www.haskinsfh.com.
