This is such a hard thing for me to do...writing in my mother's memorial guestbook...Mom, you fought so long, and so hard and now you are free, no more pain, but now that pain is in my heart missing you. I know you are with God now and with my Connor, spoiling him there with you like you did my other children here on earth. You have taught me so many things, except how to live without you . I love you so much and I know that you knew that. God has really gained a beautiful angel with you.

Deanna K. Huske, 65, of Meriden, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. She was born February 3, 1957 in Topeka the daughter of Denzil and Ida Laverne Watson Harmon. She was raised at Rock Creek and graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1975. She and her family would take vacations each summer to her dad’s hometown area in West Virginia. Deanna lived most of her adult life in the Meriden community. She owned and operated, Just Kids Daycare. Deanna later worked for Teletec in Topeka. She enjoyed painting, colored pencil books and word searches. Deanna also liked to watch HGTV, the home improvement channel on TV. The movie “Angels in the Outfield” was one of her favorites. Deanna looked forward to each Wednesday evening when she and Mark would go out to eat with Ashlee and Mason. Deanna loved her grandkids, they meant the world to her and she to them.
Survivors include her husband Mark Huske of Meriden; daughter, Ashlee Mendoza and husband Oscar of Topeka; sisters, Suzanne Harmon of Meriden and Christine Hawn of Topeka; brothers, Kevin Harmon and wife Jeannine of Topeka and Mark Harmon of Meriden; seven grandchildren, Kendrick, Mackenzie, Mason, Beck, Blakeleigh, Nataleigh and Jesus.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Ida Laverne and Denzil, daughter; Tasha Holguin, and a grandson, Conner.
