Deborah Maguire Obituary

Deborah Ann (Gleason) Maguire, 89, of Hendersonville, TN, formerly of Allentown, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the home of her daughter, Eileen M. Minton.  She was the wife of the late Connell F. Maguire.  Born in Buffalo, Erie County, NY, August 30, 1936, Deborah was the daughter of the late William J. and Ruth M. (Burke) Gleason.  Prior to moving to Hendersonville, she was an active member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield. Guided by a deep and enduring faith in the Catholic Church, she carried her spirituality into every aspect of her life. After moving to Tennessee to be closer to her daughter, Eileen, she embraced her new community with warmth and optimism. She went on to discover a renewed sense of purpose—sharing her loving nature, staying positive, and making a lasting impact by lifting up those around her. She loved jewelry and the simple joys that added beauty to her everyday life. Deborah was also an avid collector and a proud member of the M.I. Hummel Club.

Survivors: Daughter, Eileen M. Minton of Hendersonville, TN; daughter-in-law, Mary Maguire of Whitehall; grandson, Chad M. Minton of St.  Petersburg, FL; predeceased by a son, John E. Maguire.

Service: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 16, 2026, at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 1046 Cedar Street, Allentown.  Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:30 am. – 10:30 a.m. Monday in the church narthex. Interment will follow the service at Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville.  The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., in Schnecksville has been entrusted with the arrangements. Debbie, I miss you already. You smile at the lunch table when I went to check you in and see if you pushed your button! I will always remember your laugh and smile. You will be missed by me and everyone. Sending prayers to the family. She was a great lady.
