Deborah McConnell Obituary

Pawtucket – Deborah Ann (Donnelly) McConnell, 62, of Lake Hopatcong, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 25, 2020. She was the beloved wife of Kevin Anthony McConnell. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Rita (Turgeon) Donnelly of Pawtucket and the late James Donnelly.

Deborah moved to New Jersey twenty years ago but always loved to return home to Rhode Island. Deborah worked as a Registered Nurse for twenty years. Prior to nursing, Deborah was a stay at home mom for eighteen years, a time she recalled as, “the best years of her life”. She loved classic movies, Salt and Straw Ice Cream, and spending time with her family. Deborah had a wonderful sense of style and beauty and her presence always lit up a room.

Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by three children, Ashley McConnell Vanderjagt of Portland, OR, Brandon McConnell of Lake Hopatcong, NJ and Mark McConnell of Weehawken, NJ; two grandchildren, Harrison and Beau Vanderjagt and four sisters, Barbara, Colleen, Sharon and Lisa.

Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions and guidelines, services and interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence, will be private. Visitation is respectfully omitted. Funeral arrangements are entrusted with WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, Pawtucket. TRIPPFUNERALHOME.com

Debbie was an adorable cousin to me. When we were young we enjoyed playing together being the same age. I always thought how beautiful and kind she was! Aunt Rita, Colleen, Sharon and Lisa, my heart goes out you! This was difficult news to hear. She is certainly with our Lord.
