Deborah Elaine Mitchell 57, of Beaumont, TX; passed Sept. 14, 2021.

Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021 at Proctor's Mortuary 3520 Washington Blvd Beaumont, TX. Visitation will begin at 9AM until Funeral at 10AM. Interment will be held in Live Oak Memorial Park Beaumont, TX.

Elaine was born May 24, 1964 in Lufkin, TX to Lorine Hunt and Ned “Scrap” Howard. Elaine was the older of two siblings. She found and accepted God at a young age at Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Lufkin, Texas. She graduated from Lufkin High School and married Cleo Fleming. She had two children with Cleo, Angel and Cornelius Fleming. She later remarried to Irving Mitchell and had a beautiful daughter Melanie Mitchell. Elaine became an ordained minister under the direction of Gyuler Green. She was very passionate in her beliefs and lived a life in accordance with that. She was a servant to all of God’s people. Anyone that called for help or assistance of any kind, she jumped without hesitation. She enjoyed witnessing to others and leading others to Christ. Elaine was known for breaking out in prayer or shouting regardless of where she was. Her legacy will live forever. 

Deborah joins her mother (Lorine Hunt), father (Ned “Scrap” Howard) and grandson (Jarrodd Alexander) in paradise.

Deborah’s beautiful soul, teachings and spirit live on through her three children: Angel Fleming, Cornelius (Corey) Fleming and Melanie Mitchell, one sister: Joyce Howard, six grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
