Deborah Purifoy

1960 - 2025

Sister Deborah Lynn Purifoy was born September 21, 1960 in Stockton, California, to the parents of Lee Anthon Morehead and Dora Dean Sams. She married Walter Purifoy on December 11, 1989. To this union two sons were born, Walter Van Morehead and Dion Jamal Morehead. She was a member of Brown Temple Church of God in Christ. Even though she was unable to attend church, she was yet faithful to church. 

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Morehead Jones, and Queen Morehead Hereford. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 39 years Walter Purifoy; her sons, Walter Van Morehead and Deon Jamal Morehead; her brothers, Leon Morehead (Linda) of Reno, Nevada, Douglas Broadnax of Camden, Arkansas, Larry Ellis (Wilma) of Camden, Arkansas, Michael Morehead and Mike Morehead; her sisters, Thelma Monk (Sammy) of Camden, Arkansas, Sylvia Morehead (Scotty), Sarah Morehead of Portland, Oregon; a special niece, Nakeisha Jones of Muskegon, Michigan; special friends, La Donna Quarles, Joyce Elliott, Lisa Gulley, and Janice Stricklen. She also leaves a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Brown Temple Church of God in Christ.
