Delores Lemon

1933 - 2026

Delores Jean Lemon, 92, of Wildwood, Missouri passed away peacefully on Monday, March 2, 2026. She was born to parents Edgar and Carolyn (Morris) Altstaetter, on July 12, 1933, in Lima, Ohio. 

On October 25, 1958, Delores married Robert (Bob) Lemon, and had 6 children, Deborah (Leonard) Yahl of Gray Summit, MO; Rob Lemon of Chesterfield, MO; Tammy (Barry) Trader of Columbia, MO; Chris (Joyce) Lemon of Phoenix, AZ; Jim (Mimi) Lemon of Ballwin, MO; Tim (Kelly) Lemon of Pacific, MO; 15 grandchildren including Jessica, Michael, Jeremy, Heather, Heidi, Sarah, Amy, Rob, Edmond, William, Alyssa, Joe, Andrew, Anna, Brent, and 7 great-grandchildren including Grayson, Asher, Alexander, Rally, Caroline, Ezra and Isaiah. 

Delores was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed caring for and entertaining her family on holidays, cooking, sewing, and spending time with her cats and favorite black labrador, Molly.  

Throughout her life, education was important to Delores. In 1954, she graduated from the Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Delores went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Ohio State, and a Master’s and CRNA Nurse Anesthetist degree from Washington University in St. Louis. Delores spent the majority of her career at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. One of her proudest career moments was when she received the Outstanding Instructor of the Year award from her nursing students. She was truly honored.   

Delores is preceded in death by her husband, Bob, her brothers Paul, Howard, Jerry, daughter Debbie, and granddaughter Jessica.  Delores is survived by her sister, Carol Sue (Suzie) Warren of Lima, Ohio.  

A private family funeral service is planned.
