Delores White

1944 - 2026

Delores Gale Hamrick White, 81, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Atrium Health Cleveland Hospital. She was born in Cleveland County on August 27, 1944, was the daughter of the late William Alexander Hamrick and Ophelia Sellers Hamrick.

Delores was a longtime member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted and proud wife, mother, grandmother, and loving great-grandmother. She loved her flowers, gardening, and feeding the birds at her home.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, James Dale White; daughters Renita Melton, Angie White and Leah Malone; grandson Brock Melton (Sydney); great-grandson Caine; her sister, Kay Taylor (John); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 22, 2026 in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Keith Dixon officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. 

Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Atrium Health Levine Children’s Cancer Institute.
