Parents: Purley L. and Clara Hamilton
Children (by previous marriage): Jadel L. Bru (Brett), Thom Hamilton and
Denise Houghtaling, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren
Dennis was married to Sue (Ledum) Hamilton for 46 very happy years. They enjoyed so much together, raising Arabian horses, fishing, crabbing and taking cruises. Where you would see one of them, the other would be close by. They always did things together, and never far apart.
Dennis was a WWII veteran, serving in the US Army Air Corp. He loved his country and always had a flag flying.
Dennis is 3rd generation owner of Hamilton Lumber, LLC, formerly known as JE Hamilton & Sons. The lumber yard is celebrating their 90th year of serving Stanwood and surrounding community. He retired several years ago, and truly enjoyed his retirement.
Dennis and Sue recently moved to Gold Canyon, AZ. , where they could golf and enjoy the beautiful winters.
Dennis' last hurrah was being the Grand Marshal of the Stanwood-Camano Fair parade (Aug. 6) . He felt it was such an honor bestowed upon him and Sue. He thoroughly enjoyed his (now) last trip through Stanwood.
Dennis passed away in Hawthorne, NV. He was in route to Phoenix, AZ to have heart surgery. Unfortunately, God had other plans for him. He will be sorely missed by Sue, his children and a wide host of friends, both in Stanwood and Gold Canyon. He was noted for his teasing, jovial self, and was a true gentleman. He always enjoyed talking to people and knew no stranger. He loved telling the history of Stanwood and Utsalady Point to anyone that would listen.

Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Thursday, August 18, in the chapel of Gilbertson Funeral Home, Stanwood With Pastor Mich Michl officiating. Burial will be held in Anderson Cemetery. Stanwood
Visitation will be held Wed. Aug. 17, 2016 between 3:00 P.M. and 800 P.M. pm in the chapel of Gilbertson Funeral Home, Stanwood

You and I have ALWAYS had a special bond and link that created many people to be envious. I know your deep love for me ever since I was born. The relationship we had was once in a million. I can not even count the times you've told me you love me. And I love you too. I miss you beyond words. You are the most important person in the world to me. And I know you are still with me. Only you and I know things and that is one of them.

Jadel and Thom,,,,,so so sorry. Your dad and my parents were good friends and I remember spending time at your house when we were young. So happy he lived a long life and I hope you find comfort in that. My brother died two days after your dad,,,none of it makes sense, unless you follow the Lord. I hope you all do and find the peace you need.
