It is with heavy hearts that the families of the late Dennis Rockwell Smith announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, in Corner Brook, NL, on Thursday, May 14th, 2020, at the age of 64 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his son; Devon Smith, his daughter; Amy Fitzgerald, his siblings; Jerry (Caroline), and Judy (Keith) Pike, his sister-in-law; Marianne Taylor, special friend; Dan, Dennis was predeceased by his son; Brandon Smith, his parents; Sadie and Jim Smith, his brother; Tony Smith, also leaving to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation in Dennis memory would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
Due to Covid-19. Government restrictions, there will be a private family viewing for immediate family only. The funeral service will take place on Friday, May 15th, 2020, at 1:30 pm, with Major Wayne Pike officiating with the private graveside service to follow at the family plot of the Salvation Army Church cemetery on High Street, Deer Lake, NL.

To the Smith and Tucker families, please accept my most sincere condolences. Although I have not seen Dennis for many years, I remember him coming to our house when he and Glenn were teenagers. Ironically, it was only on the evening of the 14th that I asked Glenn how Dennis was doing during this pandemic. He advised that he had been in hospital for the past several weeks. Rest In Peace Dennis.
