Deonarain Nepal

1950 - 2024

Deonarain Nepal of Hartford CT, beloved husband of Estherlene Nepal passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at home at the age of 73 surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren, of whom he loved the most.  Deonarain was a loving, caring, generous, helpful, strong, kind, compassionate, intelligent,  heroic and hard working gentleman.  

Deonarain is survived by his wife Estherlene of 47 years; 3 children Kavita, Alysha and Devindra; 8 grandchildren Anthony, Victoria, Timothy, Savannah, Avery, Salena, Charlotte, Shailynn; 3 in-laws Andrew, Erika and Rovin; 10 brothers and sisters Eva Khedaroo, Seepersaud Nepal, Esardai Jugmohan, Ramdai Nepal, Harry Nepal, Dindial Nepal, Doris Bedassee, Roopdai Kumkarran, Naraine Ramdhan; and countless cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.   

He is predeceased by his daughter daughter Aaliyah Nepal; parents Nepal and Umrai (Petember) Ramdhan; and 3 brothers and sisters Gobin Nepal, Etwari Walter, Lilowatti Seenauth.

Deonarain was born in Letter-Kenny Village, Corentyne Berbice Guyana, South America to the late Nepal and Umrai (Petember) Ramdhan.

He attended the Auchlyne Scott School in Corentyne Berbice Guyana.  

He migrated to the United States in January 1980 and first resided in Queens, New York.  He later moved to Hartford, CT in May 1980 where he established himself and built a life and home for his family.

He worked at Futuramik Industries for 12 year and Chelsea Place Care Center for 26 years. 

He loved to listen to music, play the harmonium and accordion, dance and gather with his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at First Church of the Nazarene Saturday March 23, 2024 from 9am to 12pm.  Address: 932 Capital Avenue, Hartford CT 06106
