Dominick Baker, Jr. Obituary

It is with great sadness we share the unexpected passing of Dominick Ray Baker, Jr, age 31, who went to be with the Lord on September 9, 2025.  Dominick attended St. Hilary of Portier grade school and graduated from Father Judge High School. He was a devoted lover of hockey and played from the time he could put on a pair of ice skates. Dominick was a passionate fisherman and lover of the outdoors and hosted a fishing derby for kids every year at his family's home on the Pennypack creek where he grew up. Dominick was a great and modest guitar player and music producer who unfortunately will be unable to share with us all the music he had in his soul.

Beloved son of Dominick R. Baker, Sr. and Marie Baker (née Jordan).  Loving brother of Michael P. Baker.  Dear nephew of Kathryn Jordan-Eder, Timothy Jordan, Joseph Jordan, Thomas Farrel and the late James Jordan; also Freddie Baker, Marylou Baker, Wendy Baker, and the late Cynthia Baker.  He is also survived by many cousins and other family members and many friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet his family Saturday morning, September 20, 2025, 9:00 - 10:45 A.M. at St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114.  Funeral Mass 11:00 A.M.  Interment William Penn Cemetery.

I’ll never forget the day you were born. The same day as the White Tigers at the Zoo. Your Mom and I cut out the article and framed it. You were my first little baby doll, the sweetest and most genuine little boy with the biggest blue eyes. You were loved, you were cherished, and you will forever be missed.

Donnie. Re and Mick
I’m so deeply sorry. I have no words that can express this sadness. I wish I had known Donnie more closely these past years. He will always be an adorable young boy in my mind. I take comfort in knowing that he filled his days with creating music, the peace of fishing, and the energy and excitement of hockey. Those are a few of the things that reflect a beautiful spirit that will continue to shine in memory. May he find rest and peace, and may you, his loving family, feel his presence in the quiet moments and in the things he loved most. You are all loved very much and remain in my prayers.
