Donald Earl Adamson

1930 - 2020

Donald E. Adamson, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on September 3, 2020.  Born and raised in Ohio, he was a proud “Buckeye,” having graduated from Ohio State University.  He was honored to march in the Rose Bowl in 1950 with the Ohio State Marching Band. 

For many years Don was a mechanical engineer with Teledyne CAE in Toledo, Ohio.  He always faithfully served in the church as deacon, Sunday School teacher, and choir member.  In 1992, Don and his wife retired to Irons, Michigan.  There, Don was a charter member of the Faith Fellowship Church, having served in the capacity of “church leader” in those early days.  He loved his church family and always hoped to return to his home in Irons.  Now he has gone on to his eternal home.

Don is survived by: his daughter Anita (Rob) Lemon of Worden, Illinois; son Steven (Luverne) Adamson of Vestaburg, Michigan; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by: his wife Irene M. Adamson; sister, Thelma Malernee; parents, Forest and Catherine (Stumph) Adamson; and grandson. 

A special word of thanks is given to all the wonderful caregivers at San Gabriel Memory Care in Godfrey, Illinois.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at Faith Fellowship Church in Irons, MI, with Dr. Duane Costello officiating.  Interment will follow in the Bass Lake Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until time of services at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Fellowship Church.
