Don was born and raised in Michigan, but got to Texas as fast as he could. He graduated from Utica High School in 1959. Donald honorably served in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1963 at which time he joined the seminary and got his degree in theology. He married Sherry Beck the love of his life in 1965 and had three children. He spent his career in international sales and traveled the world for forty years. Don loved sharing stories of his travels and opened his home to visitors from all over the globe. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren and was happiest when they were all together. Don will be missed by all but is home with his Lord and we will see him again soon.

I still remember the day I heard a knock on the door at the seminary apartments in Ft Worth Texas. Having only arrived a few days before I couldn’t imagine who it could be. There stood Uncle Donald, He quickly introduced himself and after encouraging me to call mine and Craig’s folks (I forgot to confirm our safe arrival) he invited myself and Craig to his home for dinner.
And so began a wonderfully impactful relationship. I always felt loved, welcomed and accepted by Uncle Donald, Aunt Sherry, David, Stephanie and Deborah❣. I am forever grateful for their open heart and open home during “the Texas years”.
I weep with all of you at his passing and celebrate with you that he is with Jesus!!
As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's very different routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of your family and friends. I am praying for the warmth of God’s comfort to wrap around all of you!

Mr. Fry was a giant of a man to those that got to spend some time around the Fry household. I was so fortunate to be friends with David, Stephanie and Deborah and get to experience being around Mr. and Mrs. Fry. Mr. Fry was the measuring stick of being a husband and father that most of us still strive to be. He will be missed. Thank you all for sharing him with me during my high school years. I will be thinking of you all. Kyle Gathright

Dear Sherry (Mrs. Fry), David, Stephanie, & Deborah, I love you all and am so sad to hear that Don (Mr.Fry) has passed. So many of my best childhood memories are entwined with you all and our times at the old church (FBC of Richland Hills). You all, along with Don, were featured in those joyous moments. Don will be sorely missed. Sending you all of my love and holding you in prayer. Much love, Darlene

Dear Sherry, David, Stephanie, Deborah, I want to send my condolences to you all. Uncle Don was a wonderful person, husband & father. I have fond memories of him when I was a child and the way he thought I was special. I love his personality and the way you never knew if we was serious of joking. May his memory be a blessing. Love Kathy
