DONALD DARNELL GRANBERRY

DONALD DARNELL GRANBERRY, born January 15, 1963, in Erie, PA, to the late Clara G. Boone and Isaac D. Carroll (Shelly Boone), entered eternal rest on Saturday June 7, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA surrounded by loved ones.

Donald was preceded in death by his brother Cottrell Granberry and three sisters Kimberly Granberry, Stephanie Boone, and Felicia Holmes. As well as the passing of his siblings, Donald was preceded in death by two nephews Christopher Granberry and Marcell Flemings.

Donald held many job titles, but he was best known for his knowledge of the law and with winning cases. He was an avid fan of San Fransico 49’s. He loved his old school car he referred to as a deuce and a quarter “225”. He would clean that car in any type of weather like the mailman. It can be raining, sleet, snow and hail. His nephews would ask to drive the old school and he would say “get a license and I would let you drive”. Funny thing is when they received their license and came back to ask to drive he would say “SHEEED”.

He leaves to cherish his memory his one and only child daughter Da’Shanti – (Baby Donald as one of her cousin calls her), five brothers Allen (Violeta) Granberry of Jackson, TN, Timothy (Tina), and Mark (Valerie) of Pemberton, NJ, Michael and Christopher Corder of Erie, PA as well as five sisters, Denise Granberry (Johnny) of Cleveland, OH, Victoria Ampatey of Newark, NJ, Sherrie Taylor, Erica Williams and Stacy Carroll of Erie, PA. Donald is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He leaves behind his special friend Bianca Harbison.
