Donald was the first born of Joseph Gueringer and Helen Howard Gueringer (now deceased) Father to Donald Jason Gueringer. Brother of Jeanette Gueringer Braud-deceased, Joan Gueringer Taylor, Carolyn Gueringer Matthews, Sandra Gueringer-deceased, Linda Gueringer, Larry Gueringer, Susan E Zanders, Yvonne Gueringer and Glenn Gueringer He also was "Big Cousin" to many Donald  or "D" or "Unc" as many called him was a product of St Augustine high school though he graduated from Joseph S Clark Sr High School his heart was always with The Purple Knights. Donald enlisted in the U S Air Force after graduating high school.  He was stationed in Europe and was a star baseball player. He won trophies for his performances while in the Air Force. He was so excellent he won the MVP of United Kingdom award.  Donald was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates farm team, but he had his heart set on playing for the Dodgers and refused the offer. He lived in Los Angeles, California where he was an award-winning Real Estate agent. In his retirement he relocated to New Orleans.  Donald loved to entertain friends and family at his home. He loved cooking gumbo. Donald will be missed by family and friends Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home, 2120 Jackson Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70113 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.  Private Burial.
