Donald Burke Lyons, Sr., husband for Forty-One Years to Pauline Hicks Lyons, died Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at his residence. Born September 12, 1950 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Herbert and Bessie Mae Robinson Lyons, Sr.. He was a retired Fence Contractor and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors.

Survivors besides his wife include two sons: Donald Burke (Christy) Lyons, Jr. of Junction City and Billy Joe (Jeannie) Lyons of Liberty; three daughters: Katie Baker and Rachael Baker both of Mercer County and Dorothy Williams of Leesburg, AL.; two brothers: Buford Lyons and David (Joie) Lyons both of Mercer County; four sisters: Wilma Jean Derringer and Wanda Coslow both of Harrodsburg, Joyce (Bobby) Blacketer and Rita (Clarence) Hicks both of Mercer County; ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren. and several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter Jackie Baker and six brothers: Garnett Lyons, William Lyons, Lawrence Lyons, Earl (Thelma) Lyons, Herbert Leroy (Barbara) Lyons, and Charles Lyons.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Lynn Releford officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery with David Allen Lyons, David Roy, Bobby Joe Blacketer, John Blacketer, Lane Blacketer, Donald Lyons, Jr., Billy Joe Lyons and Bill Derringer serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.
