Donald Pettry Obituary
Donald Ray Pettry 60 of Hillsville, Virginia passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Addie Sue Pettry.
Survivors include his brothers and spouse, Michael and Pam Pettry, and Ronald Pettry; niece, Crystal (Brooke) Carver; great nephew, Theodore Carver; great niece, Grace Carver.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Kenneth Poston officiating. Burial will follow in the Branscome Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Pettry family.

SO SORRY OF DON'S PASSING. HE WAS A GOOD FRIEND AND CO-WORKER. WORKED WITH HIM FOR ABOUT 25 YEARS. ALWAYS ENJOYED WORKING WITH HIM AND BEING ABLE TO JOKE AROUND WITH HIM. Don and I work plenty of years together down there at the plant. I always enjoyed our little chats about antiques and cars. I enjoyed buying from him. He bought for me. We picked with each other about being related. He's going to be sadly missed

I started my job out of college 10 years ago and Don was one of the first people I worked closely with. He was so open to teach and always willing to help lend a hand. He was always kind and friendly to me and all around made me and those around happier with his humor and smile. I’ll miss him dearly and I wish peace and fond memories forever to his family and close friends.
