Donald Arthur Szontagh age 72 of Des Plaines passed away January 7, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Maryellen Szontagh. Loving father of JoEllen (Scott) Dobrow and Loran (James) Koop. Dearest grandfather of Lorellen (Aaron) McCoy, Autumn (AJ) Perrault, Theresa (Jason) Abrahams, JR Dobrow, Tiffany Dobrow, Samantha Koop, Michael Koop and Ally Koop. Cherished great grandfather of Blake, Brielle, Ryker, Cadence, Kamden, Claire, and Aavan. Donald was an Elks Club and Maywood Sportsman Club Member for many years. He also worked for 33 years for the Park Ridge Public Works Department. Burial Services will be private in All Saints Cemetery, Des Planes, IL. Funeral Care Provided by G.L. Hills Funeral Home.
