Donald Wayne “Donnie” Soard, age 73, husband of Kimberly Elizabeth Smith Soard, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at his home in Lawrenceburg surrounded by his family. Donnie was born February 25, 1952 in Woodford County, Kentucky to the late Donald Soard and Alice Cooper Wooldridge.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Donald David Soard; and sisters, Brenda Beasley, Paula Paton and Nancy Sayre.
Donnie was a former mechanic with Countryside Motors in Lawrenceburg and O’Brian Ford in Shelbyville. Donnie loved life. Having a good time and making people laugh brought him so much pleasure. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and did this quite often with family and friends.
Including his wife Kim, Donnie is survived by his daughters, Marlana Dover (Ronnie) and Carla Jo Soard, all of Louisiana; a step son, Christopher Gillis (Joan) of Louisville; grandchildren, Destine Vendetto, Baylee Dover, Bre`anna Vendetto and Paige Dover; great grandchildren, Layton Thompson and Charlotte Thompson; his brothers, Gary Dean Soard (Diana) of Lawrenceburg and Ricky Soard (Jennifer), of Salvisa; a step-brother, Bobby Wooldridge (Beverly) of Lawrenceburg; step sisters, Rama Thurman of Frankfort and Joann Kincaid (Larry) of Frankfort; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Donnie’s life will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at the Lawrenceburg American Legion from 2:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M.
