To Michael and family,
I heard that Dorine the love of your life has gone to reside in the Lords house. I’ll pray for your loss and ask God to give you and your children the strength to navigate through this time of loss.
God has taken Dorines sole but the many wonderful memories of her will remain in your heart forever and they will help you get through these most difficult times. Your family is surrounded by the Lord, many wonderful friends and relatives and they will be there to share them with you.
Michael, May God bless you and yours.

Dear Uncle Mick, Katy, Dan, and Deanna - thinking of you all and praying for you in the very sad loss of Aunt Dorine. I have treasured memories of swimming at the river at the end of your street together when all of us cousins were little, and I always loved Aunt Dorine's amazing date bars and have tried several times unsuccessfully to recreate them. I hope to see you all soon when we finally get back to Michigan.

Mike & Family, I just found out about Dorine's passing. It brings to mind many treasurable memories. She was a true & devoted friend and provided immeasurable help & guidance to my wife, Kathy, during a difficult time in her life. I will always remember how Kathy ( who has been gone over nine years ) would light up & smile when Dorine was coming over or we were meeting Dorine at 26 Mile Rd & I-94.

Hi Dan, This is Matt's mom, Marianne and I knew your mom from Bethesda. She and I would always greet each other when we were in close touch. She was always smiling and looking beautiful..she raised a beautiful family Dan, of you and your sisters. She truly loved and honored the Lord and would minister to anyone with a need. I was so saddened to hear that she had passed away. I trust the Lord to comfort all of you and bless you with His peace in all the days ahead...She will be missed. Love and blesssings, Marianne Michalik

Hi Dan,
I hope you are having a good day. Know you are in my thoughts and prayers and lifting you up always. It is an honor to call you my friend.
Whenever you can, please send me the funeral service for your mom so I can hear or watch it. I would love to see or hear it if it is available. It would also be an honor for me to be there in person. I loved your mom too. The United States/Canadian Border has been closed for almost a year now. I can't believe I haven't been over in the United States for that long now. Wow.
Here is a song that has been encouraging me lately by one of Joel Osteen's main praise and worship leaders at his church in Texas, Tauren Wells. Tauren Wells is also a professional Christian recording artist on his own. Here he is visiting Elevation Church in North Carolina as a guest and he does the song, Never Lost, with their band and choir. This is the kind of church service I love. Your mom is in paradise now and we will see her again. Click on the link below on youtube to be encouraged by it.
Love you Dan and I will be praying for you.

Dorine was a precious Christian sister who was our neighbor years ago on St. Clair Drive. She planned and had groups of women each week meet in her home for song worship and prayer. Our families were close.
Dorine was instrumental in having myself and several friends take the “Understanding God” class together at Bethesda Church. It was very helpful in the growing and understanding of my Christian faith.
One day as we were discussing various needs in our households, I mentioned that it sure would be wonderful to have someone come and help me with keeping my house clean. I was teaching a large class of piano students and was needing help. Dorine said that she’d love to come help me.. She came to my side door for the first time and said to me, “I’m here with my blessed hands to bless you, Laura!” I will always remember those words to me. As an aside she mentioned that Mike had reminded her to be sure and clean all the mirrors!
I also recall that our daughter, Janice, who remains good friends with Katy on FB now, gave Katy piano lessons. Since Janice is a very successful piano teacher in Windermere, Florida now, we look back and say that Katy was her very first piano student..

Mike,Katy, Deanna and Dan,
Mike and I send our deepest condolences in your tremendous loss. I was very close to Dorine for the many years we attended church together and our daughters were and still are the closest of friends. I enjoyed talking to Dorine about our first love, JESUS and sharing the word together. Some of my favorite times were going out to eat together, praying together, vacationing either in Canada or Caseville. She is missed and I know she is in the presence of her Savior! Just sad I didn’t have one more lunch date with her. Will have to do that when I see her again at the banquet table in heaven.

I will always be deeply grateful for Dorine's weekly prayer partnership with my mom. She prayed me through many stages of my life and the Lord has blessed me tremendously as a result. May we all be as faithful in prayer and as in love with Jesus as she was. It amazing to think that she has now met the true intercessor face to face. With deep sympathy and prayer for the Birg family, Cathie (Gorzalski) Borden.

Dorine, My dear neighbor, friend and mentor. I thank God for His logistics in moving both of our families onto St Clair Drive within a two year span. I hold close the times Dorine and I spent together with our kids at the lake during those long summer days of old. I thank God for Dorine’s heart filled with insight into the personal relevance of God’s word in our daily life. This prayer warrior will be missed.

My loving friend Dorine we have had a long standing friendship through the years. I am forever grateful you came to New Life Church for a season. You took me under your wing like a mama bird and lovingly and tenderly guiding me through some rough trials that I’ve had in my life. You were always available day or night.I love spending time at your home, prayer meetings together, lunch out, trips to Canada to get the special Candy bar. Just want to say thank you to your family for sharing you.
