Dorothy Slusher

Dorothy Lee (Winders) Slusher, of Reading, Ohio, passed away peacefully during the early afternoon on March 8th, 2025 at the age of 79, following her lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 27, 1945 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Philemon and Annie Sue (Latham) Winders. 

Her family relocated to Cincinnati, and she graduated from Lockland High School. Well over 50 years ago, she met and married her beloved husband, John J. Slusher, and became a devoted mother to her sons, John “JJ” (Jennifer) and Jimmy (Angela) Slusher. Dorothy adored her grandchildren, Rylie, Reagan, Ashton, Jaren, and Karsyn. 

Dorothy and her family have been longtime members of Landmark Baptist Church where she loved to sing in their choir. For many years, she worked in Real Estate with Sibcy Cline but her primary focus was always ensuring the well-being of her family. Dorothy always enjoyed a shopping outing and cherished her time with family, friends and many loved ones. 

Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of service at 12 PM Friday, March 14th at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45241 with Pastor Matt Holman officiating. Interment will follow with a procession to Landmark Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be shared at www.MRFH.com
