Douglas Hounsell Obituary
It is with great sadness the family of Douglas Hounsell announce his passing at the family residence in Pasadena on Monday August 24th, 2020 in his 80th year surrounded by his family. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Patricia, children; Clyde (Angela) Hounsell, Neta (Steward) Major, Darlene (Milton) Hamlyn, Carolanne (David) Hynes, Denise (Shawn) Francis, Angela (Rob) Brading. 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. His sister’s Sadie & Marina. Also left to mourn are nieces, nephews and a large circle of family and friends.
Douglas was predeceased by his grandson Michael. Brother’s; Edward, Albert, Malcolm, Eldred and Eldon. Sister’s; Francis, Neta, Blanche , Pearl and Nora and parents Hiram & Bessie.
In keeping with Douglas’ wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place At Parsons Funeral Home and Chapel on Saturday, August 29,2020 at 10:30 am with Rev. Jocelyn Cooke officiating .The funeral service can be viewed by live stream on Parsons Funeral Home(Deer Lake ) Facebook page.Due to the current covid-19 restrictions in place we encourage you to visit our web page at www.parsonsfuneralhome.com to leave a message of condolence for the family and sign the guest book.

Uncle Doug, you weren’t just family but our neighbour as well and one that we could count on when Dad and Mom needed something, you were the first person there! Another Angel has gotten his wings.
