Dr. Gary I. DuDell passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the age of 65 from cancer. Dr. DuDell was a Licensed Mental Health Counselor for over 35-years and a full-time faculty member at the University of South Florida from 1987-2015. He held three graduate counseling degrees and was a recognized expert and mentor in the Tampa Bay area. Outside of the office, Dr. DuDell was passionate about family, music, exercise, and mindfulness. He is survived by his mother, Helen; brothers, Clark and Jake; son, Michael and wife, Jackie. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 30th, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at The Carrollwood Cultural Center. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd St Chapel is in charge of arrangements. He was the best professor I ever had and truly passionate about helping others! He is missed!

Gary was always at our gym. He was a delight and positive spirit always. I just learned of his passing. I knew something was not right because I have not seen him forever. He was always on the elliptical machine. My prayers and thoughts are with his family. I have certainly missed him and his special class of humor.

Gary and I shared an office when we worked at the Mendez Foundation, and I will always treasure his humor, his laugh, and his genuine nature. I have so many delightful memories of working with him. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you, and may you find comfort in the wonderful memories that will forever live in your hearts.
